It can even have different response to the same treatment methods, worked for other people, but you. The more you know about your own form of acne, the more likely you are to find a treatment that works for sure. So, if you are going to get rid of it, you must know all about the core processes, acne types, influenced factors and treating methods.

Acne vulgaris is commonly known as "acne" or the most common form of acne. Pimples, blackheads, white heads, pustules, papules, cysts, infected abscesses are types of acne.

Acne is a disorder of the hair follicles and sebaceous (oil) glands. Sometimes skin oil glands produce too much oil, and the pore opening becomes "plugged" with it. The reason of this is unknown, but whole process is explored quite well.
There is lot of bacterium on the skin, and it is normal. But they tend to infect these oil glands and when bacteria thrive on this oil, this leads to infection. This process leads to redness and/or pus formation, and these next formations are called blackheads, whiteheads, pustules, papules and cysts, depending on case. Cysts or nodules are the most worse complication of acne - they are hard lumps deeper in the skin and it may lead to permanent scarring.

Increased skin oil is produced particularly during adolescence, when the level of androgen hormone in the human organism is increased and the glands have increased in size. Hormone changes during teenage years cause oil glands to become overactive. But that's not only case, and have many different influence factors.

Acne can pursue both men and women into their 30's or even beyond. But in most cases, even if untreated, acne usually clears up after several years after adolescence's begin. Most serious acne forms, especially if untreated, can leave permanent and lifelong scars.
